The Turin Giants Appoint Previous Italian National Team Boss the Experienced Gaffer

Juventus have chosen previous Azzurri boss Spalletti to take the helm for the remainder of the campaign.

The 66-year-old steps in for his predecessor, who was sacked after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio last weekend.

Tudor had joined the club in March filling the shoes of Thiago Motta but left after seven months at the end of an eight-match winless run.

Spalletti guided Napoli to the Serie A crown in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

Nonetheless, Italy dismissed Spalletti in June post a qualifying defeat against Norway, as Italy faced the possibility of not making a third World Cup in a row.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and secured two Russian Premier League titles with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla served as interim manager for Juventus for their 3-1 win against Udinese on Wednesday which left them seventh in Serie A - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.

Their Champions League campaign sees them in 25th place in the group stage, with one loss and two draws in their first three games.
