The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome changes echo through the darkness." The storyline introduces a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.

The mission focuses on "strange tests and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Bonus Features

Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
